Episode 28

SELF-LOVE. Non-physical forms of expression.

"You, above all else, deserve your own love and affection."

The season of love is upon us, as Valentine's Day is celebrated tomorrow. I love love and the ways in which I have learned to love myself and express love has evolved. As a society, we've commercialized and glamorized overt and over-the-top expressions of love. All while neglecting the most important relationship - the one with our self. "Self-care" has become a buzzword with little to no meaning. This mini-sode explores three non-physical expressions of self-love, and offers inspiration on creating a self-care practice. In the season of love, come back to yourself.

Honour yourself and this present moment with a guided meditation, journaling prompts and healing sound bath by LUCIANA.

Moment of mindfulness: What does your self-love and self-care practice look like?

Journal prompts:

  1. How do I express love to myself?
  2. Do I practice self-care daily? What does/can this practice look like for me?
  3. Do I speak to myself with loving kindness?
  4. Do I speak to myself in a way that nurtures my inner child?
  5. Where/when do I feel most burnt out? Where can I set boundaries in my life?
  6. How do I care for my personal health? Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually?

Namaste 🙏🏽
My name is Kaylin and I wear many hats including strategic change consultant, podcaster, yoga teacher, reiki practitioner, fitness enthusiast, and world traveler. All of my experiences are rooted in mindfulness.
Through my academic studies and professional career development, I re-discovered my Self. I sought out the paths less traveled in the pursuit of my passions and learned practices like mindfulness, meditation, and yoga to overcome burnout, heal traumas, and live a more fulfilling life.
Now, I deliver these practices and messages in a relatable and attainable way.
I believe we are all catalysts for change. But first, we must tune in. 🤍
